On finding out that school was closed due to the coup, we launched into our prepared emergency procedure - go for a walk around the local reservoir.

Unoffically, we went on this mission to scout out any activity. Unfortunately all we could find was one army truck parked at the side of the road.
But we did find a beautifully customized bike...
Back from our walk, having filled up our cars (we had heard that the filling stations would be shut at midday), we held an emergency meeting...

The conclusion of this extra-ordinary meeting was that Andrew would show Thomas how to make cinnamon buns...

So today is a national holiday. We find out from an email tomorrow morning at 6am whether there is any school tomorrow.
One local missionary apparently works with an organisation which is linked with the Thai military. One of his "mates" is a friend of "Gen Sonthi Boonyaratglin", the leader of the coup. Apparently he is a Muslim, which is causing some uneasy feelings, however the chief of police, also involved with the coup, is a Budist.
So please pray for Thailand, that there will be a positive outcome from this coup, and that God's will will be done.
The Thais appear to be very friendly, as usual. We are keeping our heads low, just incase anything develops.
