The above is Genesis 1 verses 1, 2 and 3 in Wa Language.

We have obtained a copy of the Wa Bible which Pastor Joseph's team have been working on.

Being in lovely MS Word document format, we will be looking into trying to convert the format into something more friendly. At least a format that will allow easy import into E-Sword. But also, to make it a bit easier to type-set the whole Bible ready to be printed.

Fortunately some of our neightbours here in Chiang Mai work with a large organisation which helps with Bible translations. So our first port of call will be them.

No, we have absolutely no idea what the text really says. We don't know Wa, and are not currently intending to even try learning it. Lets get English and Thai sorted first...

Apparently the trailing ":" mean something about how the word ending is formed. But that is our limit of Wa...good start!

Vi takker Herren for dere

This was not in Wa, but in Norwegian.
After having learnt Thai and Wa, in a few months I guess, you will just love to learn Norwegian :-)
Gleder meg til å samarbeide mer med dere.
