Easter in Chiang Mai

This year we celebrated our first Easter in Chiang Mai but were amused to note that it would be our 4th Easter in Thailand.

Easter 2005 was spent in Khao Lak in the days following the tsunami.

Easter 2006 we returned to Khao Lak to join the Wongs who were heading a team to run a play scheme for children who had been affected by the tsunami. The playscheme still continues as an annual event now taken over by local Christians.

Easter 2007 was our first Easter after moving to Thailand as a family. We spent Easter near the beach at The Pines. An OMF guest house just South of Prachuap Khiri Khan. We were joined by the May and Crannage families as well as the Wests from England.

Sunrise Celebration

This Easter we stayed in Chiang Mai and went to a sunrise service by the river in the city. There was an brass band it was wonderful to celebrate Easter together with Thai Christians.

After the service, we marched through the city and gave out leaflets telling the Easter message in Thai.

Happy Easter to all
