There are two ways to access the Wa Bible sources:
- Web - svn.ajoliver.org/wa
- SVN - SubVersioN Source Code Repository
The Web method only allows file-by-file access, while the SVN method allows bulk access.
To access the Wa Bible sources using SVN, you will need a computer running Windows of some form - Linux is possible, but these instructions are for Windows users.
Tools:
- Subversion - Tortoise SVN or SVN command line tools
- Tex Live - Default install
- Charis SIL Font
To checkout the Wa Bible sources, perform Subversion checkout using "http://svn.ajoliver.org/wa" as the source. This will checkout a number of folders, which are:
- "Original" - original Word documents from the Wa Bible translation team
- "Plain Text" - the converted Word documents into plain text documents
- "SFM" - USFM formatted documents - these are the main sources uses to generate the PDF
- "Tools" - Win32 tools for converting Plain text into USFM format
- "XeTex" - XeTex macros and command line tools for converting the USFM into PDF
To convert the USFM to PDF, execute the "Convert.cmd" script in the XeTex folder.
