Rosie has come to visit Thailand. She made her first visit to the children's home at Hoay Maw on the 26th Sept.
One of the things that struck Rosie the most was the way that the teenagers such as herself, enjoy the availability of many hygiene and beauty products and take this for granted.
So much has been done at Hoay Maw by the staff and children to help themselves, yet still their level of resources is extremely low.
The children and teenagers at Hoay Maw want to take care of themselves and to be able to have a sense of self-worth and dignity. To achieve this, they really need the basic hygiene supplies that we take for granted every day.
We would like to be able to provide the children and teenagers with the following basics:
- soap
- toothbrush
- toothpaste
- shampoo
- conditioner (to help deal with lice)
- deodorant for teenagers
- female sanitary products
We would also like to provide the staff with cleaning products to help keep the the home looking nice and in a hygienic state:
- Washing powder for clothes
- Toilet cleaner
- Bathroom detergent
- Floor detergent
- Dish washing liquid
