LEFROG Day 8 – L’Eyzies to Gramat

Cycling from L’Eyzies to Gramat gave us a day full of changing landscapes and quiet beauty. We began among the cliffs and prehistoric caves of L’Eyzies, following gentle roads through walnut groves and golden‑stone villages.

We rode several kilometers along a green way cycle path in the cool shade.

The highlight came as we approached Rocamadour — that extraordinary village rising vertically from the cliff, stacked with sanctuaries and terraces.

Even from the road, it feels almost suspended above the valley. We didn’t stop long, but just passing beneath it was unforgettable.

From there, the ride carried us onto the limestone plateau and into Gramat, where the wide skies and calm roads made the final kilometres feel peaceful and open. A day of contrasts, crowned by Rocamadour’s dramatic silhouette.

There were some challenging climbs today!

We rounded off the day eating out at a pizzeria!
