After yesterday’s epic ride, we had a much shorter day today.
It was a pleasant temperature as we rolled through rural France.
The sunflowers are looking more yellow.
Our first snack stop was in Eyliac which had a beautiful church. It was the perfect resting place, shady with a bench, and a beautiful view.

We even gave the rest room ‘dix points’ for cleanliness, wash basin, hand soap, paper towels and loo roll!
I chatted with a local council worker practising my French!

He asked how far we were cycling, and when I told him from St Malo to Nice, he was shocked and shook my hand.
He asked how old each of us was and whether we had husbands at home!
Jo had found a perfect lunch stop for us in La Douze under a covered market area with wonderful oak beams and shaded picnic benches, and rest rooms!

Jo has perfected the art of checking for our approach using live location and standing roadside waving a plastic plate to usher us in for lunch.

Suitable fuelled, we continued on to our apartment in a resort.
We enjoyed a swim in the pool followed by a delicious supper!
