LEFROG Day 16 – Sault to Riez

We set of from Sault in the cool morning air, straight into a long climb, but thankfully not too steep.

Claire and Sally had rode up Mont Ventoux the day before so their legs were tired!

We took our first rest stop in a shaded area and said goodbye to Ventoux!

We enjoyed riding through the Provence Region. The view opened up into an expansive vista of green.

We passed lavender fields and could only imagine how spectacular they would look when in bloom.

We also passed Olive Groves.

We met the vehicle for our lunch stop at Forcalquier.

After lunch there was a 10km climb which was tough on the legs.

After the climb we made some good progress with sweeping descents.

We had been hoping to find a cafe for another break, but we didn’t come across anywhere.

When we reached Riez, Soo was by the road signalling us to stop.

We had a garage to lock our bikes in and our accommodation was a first-floor apartment: Your trip overview – Airbnb
